The Kongamato, a monstrous Pterodactyl like creature unknown to science has been terrorizing the Serengeti region of Tanzania. Wild animal disappearances, silhouettes above villages in the dark and glowing red eyes are just a few of the reports from the local Maasai tribes.

Can you help the local rangers find this mysterious avian terror and solve the enigma of these monsters in the wild?

Monsters In The Wild features a special appearance of our friends from The Society for Observation of Unknown Phenomenon (S.O.U.P.). These games made by Crack-a-Nut Mysteries are quite fun and personalized. We recommend you check them out, and support another small Indie game developer!

I loved playing Monsters in the Wild! The story was engaging and all the puzzles were fun, on theme, logical, and many of them also had an educational component. The quality of the materials was great with a mix of glossy brochures, standard paper (with simple, but effective, design), web elements, and a couple of special components/surprises! I highly recommend this game, and if you haven’t played an Enigma Fellowship game yet, I would start with Monsters in the Wild!

Enigma Fellowship hits another home run with Monsters in the Wild!

    – The Kongamato, a monstrous Pterodactyl-like creature unknown to science has been terrorizing the Serengeti region of Tanzania. Wild animal disappearances, silhouettes above villages in the dark and glowing red eyes are just a few of the reports from the local Maasai tribes. Can you help the local rangers find this mysterious avian terror and solve the enigma of these monsters in the wild? –

Enigma Fellowship writes about what they know, which just happens to be THE WORLD! Their extensive travel, prior to the pandemic, allows them to infuse their games with real-world facts about the geography and inhabitants. As my Mom put it, “It’s like a fun geography class, with a twist.”

Monsters in the Wild is an adventure! The narrative comes to life through a variety of quality components, beautiful artwork, interactive elements and more. The professional audio segments are filled with indigenous sounds of the Serengeti that make the entire experience more immersive. The audio also helps develop the colorful characters you meet throughout your journey. Also, I could listen to Orsi talk all day long – I just LOVE her voice!

The game consists of many high-quality paper components. The beautifully printed, glossy travel brochures are so convincing that if I saw them on a friend’s counter, I would assume they were planning a safari! From maps to manifests – emails to gameboards, each item is well-made and has a purpose in the game.

The puzzles are numerous and varied! Every puzzle is original, fits the theme and furthers the narrative. We found it necessary to use the hint site a few times, but always GOT IT at some point! There was no leap to be made, as all the puzzles made sense and were fair. The hint site is set up very nicely giving you tiny bits to help gently nudge you toward that AHA moment. We NEVER felt like we got more information than we were looking for.

Using a newsletter from S.O.U.P. to introduce the cryptid information into the game was absolutely BRILLIANT, and we are so grateful to be a part of this awesome game.

If anyone is questioning whether an envelope can offer a quality, immersive experience with hours of enjoyable gameplay, take our word for it. . . IT can, and this one DOES!

NOTE: Enigma Fellowship is truly dedicated to helping our environment. Planting a tree for every game purchased is only the beginning. You can read more about their efforts to reduce their impact of the environment here https://www.enigmafellowship.com/environmental-impact/.

I recently played the first four games and i loved everything about them. An amazing story and fun puzzles merged together into one of the best experiences I had so far. Great background research, lovely voice acting and cool components – you can clearly see how much passion went into these games. I think the creators love making them as much as we love to play them. And you really get a lot for your money here, the envelopes are stuffed with all kind of things. It took me between 2.5 and 4.5 hours to solve each part. The hint system is good too, you always get the exact amount of help you need. I can fully recommend this for all experience levels. Can’t wait for the next parts.
