Hints

Hint 1
Considering that the site has barely anything, it is quite unlikely that the website would have these dominos just to make it look pretty.

Here is a recap of what it looks like:

Hint 2
Did you read what the message says?

“if you and your friend don’t fit in a row”

Hint 3
Is there any way some dominoes may not fit in a row?

Hint 4
The instruction sheet about dominoes said that they are played by joining identical numbers together. You could try to use this information make a row of dominoes.

Hint 5
One possible arrangement is shown below. Are there any pieces leftover?

4/3 <-> 3/3 <-> 3/6 <-> 6/6 <-> 6/4 <-> 4/4 <-> 4/0 <-> 0/6

Hint 6
There are two dominoes left (1/5 and 2/5). These don’t fit into the row.

Remember what the message said about if you and your friend don’t fit within a row?

Hint 7
The message tells you to use your common denominator to find the important numerators.

A common denominator is a trait that two items have in common.

Hint 8
The common denominator for these two tiles is 5.

Does this help you find the important numerators?

Hint 9
The dominoes you have left are 1/5 and 2/5. If 5 is the common denominator, then 1 and 2 should be the numerators.

Hint 10
The message says to use the common denominator to find the important numerators.

You know that the denominator is 5, and the numerators are 1 and 2.

What 5 can you use, to get 1 and 2 of from the text?

Hint 11
What happens if you make groups 5 letters wide?
Hint 12
What happens if you read the 1st and 2nd letters, of every 5-letter groups?

For example, GOMBA

Solution
Show Explanation
There are several domino tiles on the website. The message there says, if you and your friend don’t fit in a row. This seems to indicate that we will need to find two tiles that don’t fit in this group.

The instruction sheet about dominoes we received, shows that tiles can be connected to each other. If you attempt to form a row of these tiles, it should look like:

Once this is done, you still have two tiles left, i.e. 1/5 and 2/5. These don’t fit into the group.

The message also said, use your common denominator to find the important numerators. A common denominator is a trait that two items have in common. In this case, that is the number 5. Thus, the important numerators should be 1 and 2.

Reading every 1st and 2nd letter from the groups of 5, should lead you to:

GOMBA TOMEG MACIS
CAFAT OAZIS NDALU
FIRKA NDUMA DESIP
TECHE CTOSE IVASO
ECSET HARPS NGALE

Reading those letters together, you get: GO TO MACAO AND FIND DETECTIVE CHANG

Solution: macaochang or macaodetectivechang
