Hint 1
Have you read the notes about the turtle from Wolf? He talks about being led somewhere in the note from 04 May 1875.

 

Hint 2
In his note from 04 May 1875 Wolf says that he drew the turtle as he sees it in his dreams.

Do you have any items that look like the turtle he drew?

If you assemble the pieces of the turtle, as drawn in his notes, it should like what you see above.

The lower left flipper will be on the second ridge to the left from the bottom. The lower right flipper will be on the fourth ridge to the right from the bottom.

Do you have anything else that associates to this turtle that you assembled?

You got seven small pieces that look like they may belong on the back of the turtle.

 

Hint 5

If you setup the turtle according to Wolf’s drawing, and place the small pieces with letters on the turtle, you should have what you see above.

The note from wolf goes on to read, “Then the turtle moves its lower right flipper down by two ridges and tells me to follow from the upper left flipper until I exit the shell.”

Are you able to do this?

Following Wolf’s instructions, “Then the turtle moves its lower right flipper down by two ridges and tells me to follow from the upper left flipper until I exit the shell,” you will end up with the turtle looking as below:

How can you now follow from the upper left and exit the shell?

 

Hint 8
Wolf’s instructions say to follow from the upper left flipper until you exit the shell. Have you noticed the arrows?

 

Hint 9

Following from the upper left flipper, you can trace the path as shown above.

This leaves you with the letter: CABO

 

Hint 10
There is one more instruction from Wolf about moving the lower left flipper as well. Perhaps you can do the same as you did for the lower right flipper.

Wolf talks about being led somewhere in the note from 04 May 1875. He also mentions that he drew the turtle the way he saw it.

You have some items, with which you can assemble a turtle and setup its flipper positions to resemble what Wolf drew, as below:

You also have some small pieces that look like they could belong to the back of the turtle. If you lay them over, you will then get a setup as below:

The note from wolf goes on to read, “Then the turtle moves its lower right flipper down by two ridges and tells me to follow from the upper left flipper until I exit the shell.” Following Wolf’s instructions, you will end up with the turtle looking as below:

Wolf’s instructions say to follow from the upper left flipper until you exit the shell. Following the arrows on the back of the turtle, you get:

This gives you the letters CABO.

The next instruction from Wolf says, “Then move the lower left flipper to the ridge where you exited the shell and follow from the upper right flipper.” Making this setup modification, and following the path, you get:

This give you the letters ROSA.
